Punxsutawney-based state police said Randy Bailey, 52, Mogadore, Ohio, was killed while riding a Kawasaki Bayou 220 in a wooded area near Sunderland Lane.
Bailey was traveling down a hill and failed to negotiate a left turn. He went down a seven-foot embankment, into a wooded area and hit several trees. He was not wearing a helmet.
Police said Bailey died at the scene from injuries he sustained in the crash. He was pronounced dead at the scene by a representative of the Clearfield County Coroner's Office.
Assisting were Mahaffey fire crews and Clearfield County EMS.
